Lichfield Arts February 2013 Newsletter

Tomasso Starace Quintet:

Welcome to the February edition of the Lichfield Arts Newsletter

Lichfield Arts opens it's Spring Jazz season with an outstanding concert featuring the star studded Tomasso Starace Quintet playing the music of Michael Petrucciani. Tomasso needs little introduction to his Lichfield fans having played the Guildhall and the Jazz & Blues Festival. We also have an exclusive ticket offer for subscribers to this newsletter so read on...

Besides Tomaaso on Saxes will be outstanding trumpeter Damon Brown plus a brilliant rhythm section of Lawrence Cottle bass, Chris Nichols drums and Italian star pianist Michele Di Toro.

They will create the unique energy of his creative music with highly virtuoso playing, matched by a hard–bop feel, creating swinging, melodic jazz with a great happy feel.

A Lichfield Arts spokesman said "we are extremely fortunate to have such an outstanding band play at this intimate venue .It will be night to savour"

The concert is on Monday 11 February 2013 : 8.30pm at Wade Street Church Hall

News and Reviews

Lichfield Arts celebrated Christmas 2012 with the fantastic "Blast from the Past" who ended their 2012 tour with their Medieval Christmas at Lichfield Guildhall. The 2013 season of concerts kicked off in style with the critically renowned folk rock band Colvin Quarmby managed to pack pathos, humour, and high quality musicianship into one evening.
